The student is then eligible to take a nationally accredited exam through the NHA (National Healthcareer Association). This exam demonstrates the learning achievements of the student to their employer and patients to ensure that they are fully qualified to provide healthcare services. This allows a certification as a medical assistant upon passing the exam.
