Virtual Reality Simulations

In providing the most comprehensive and modern learning experience for our healthcare partners and students, our distance education program offers virtual reality (VR) simulations to our students as part of their education. In addition to using textbooks and online programs, VR simulations bring a new way of engaging with content. Students can virtually experience different medical scenarios while getting real-time feedback. This unique option gives our students a real-world learning experience from the comfort of their homes. Introducing virtual reality technology into our distance learning programs aims to empower healthcare professionals to stay ahead of the curve and remain cutting-edge in their field. Glocal Institute is one of the few offering VR simulations for Medical Assistants in Michigan.

Program Length

The Distance Education Program is (3) terms of 8 weeks each with two (1) week breaks.

At week 24, you will be prepared to take the nationally accredited certification exam to demonstrate & complete your training. While 24 weeks is the traditional pace of this program, the distance education program is self-paced, allowing students to progress more rapidly if they choose or are able to.

Our Distance Education Programs can be combined with an Apprenticeship or our Community School options when available.

Community School Partnership

This option is available when eight or more students in a geographical area would like to receive hands-on learning in addition to Distance Education. We can provide access to on-site learning through partnerships with medical clinics and pair the on-site access with our Distance Education program. On-site learning is offered either two nights per week or one night per week + a weekend or two weekend days per month for up to 6-9 months, depending on the plan.
